I just realised I've never posted pics, and also that my zoo has changed considerably since I first posted. We've lost many wonderful children (we had a baaaaaad year as far as that goes) and gained a few new ones. I had my first non-caged animal loss this past December, which was... really bad. I have twenty-one critters now, twenty-two if you count the one who lives at school until May. I'll give you as many pictures as I can, but they're crappy pictures, and I don't have pics of some of the babies.

On to the family...Collapse )

For the first time in a while, we feel a stability around here. I have no desire for anymore animals, which is good, 'cause we have plenty. For a long itme, I felt a restlessness, an eagerness to help more, save more... I'm glad I'm settling down.

Hi, I'm new. I have three cats & a dog, which isn't much compared to others I know, but it definitley feels like a zoo around here since I live in a tiny apartment, have a newborn baby, and live by myself!

My boyfriend and I have two fish tanks. We started with a 10 gallon tropical tank and then decided to move our tropical fish into a 55 gallon. I turned my 10 gallon into a fancy goldfish tank.

This is in addition too my 3 guinea pigs, 2 rabbits, 2 dogs, 2 cats, 1 hamster, 1 gerbil and 2 budgies. Just felt like updating about the fish tanks.

Hi everyone.
I posted my request for dog subjects to several different communities.

I had a great response. But it's kind of hard for me to keep track of all the photos in all the different communities, so I created a new one.

It is for me to post completed projects, and for others to post Dog photos that they would like considered for a portrait. I may eventually go to other pets as well, but for now I'm sticking with dogs.

I wish I could do them ALL, but I'm only one person. :)

If you are interested in checking it out go to,

And thank you to all who posted photos!

Hello, I am doing some pyrography (wood burning) while I'm not working.
It's something I've enjoyed doing for several years, but I am really getting into it now.

I am looking for some subjects for dog portraits.

If you are curious, check out my journal. I just posted a couple recently completed projects. (not dogs) There is also a link to my website. (I just started the website, and haven't done too much with it yet. But there are more samples there.)

If you are interested, I would need a large clear headshot of your dog e-mailed to me.

I will pick out some of the better ones, and proceed from there.

THANKS! And I hope I hear from some of you soon.

HI, I just stumbled on this community. It looks pretty quite here, but hopefully not for long. :)

My BF and I have a house full of critters. I have always had a bunch of critters... My BF is just another addition to it. LOL!

Starting in order of age.

Ivory 14 year old white kitty
Tasha 12 year old dog (rott/shep/collie/beagle)
Takoda 4 year old dog (Dobermutt)
Trevor almost 4 (december) year old ferret
Ceora Same age as trevor, also a ferret
Trinity will be 4 next early next year ferret
Dexter 3 year old tabby/white cat
Mitexi almost 2 year old ferret
Rufus 6 month old Black kitten.

Just recently had to put down Ebony, my 16 year old kitty. :(

They are great. We love them.
People tell me I have too many... my response is "Hey, I don't ask you to take care of them, or feed them... So don't worry about it."
